One of the largest primary healthcare professions, chiropractic care utilizes a non-invasive, drug free, hands-on approach in the treatment and prevention of conditions related to the neuromusculoskeletal system (eg. conditions related to the bones, muscles, nerves, joints, tendons and ligaments.)

Chiropractors use a combination of treatments, selected specifically based on the needs of each patient. After completing a full assessment and diagnosing a patient, a chiropractor will develop and carry out a comprehensive treatment plan, recommend therapeutic exercises, and provide ergonomic, dietary and lifestyle counselling.

Chiropractic care is commonly the primary treatment method for numerous conditions such as lower back pain.  When other conditions exist, chiropractic care may complement the medical intervention by relieving the neuromusculoskeletal issues related to the condition.

Chiropractic care is also used to provide symptomatic relief for patients with chronic conditions and has been shown to improve the general well-being of patients with such disorders.

There are many reasons to seek chiropractic care including:

Headaches

Pain in the neck, back, shoulder, arm, hip, knee, ankle, foot

Sciatic nerve pain

Sports injuries

Repetitive strain injuries

Arthritis

Sprains/strains from activities of daily living

Limited range of motion in the neck, back or limbs

  • Chiropractors treat underlying causes, instead of only addressing symptoms.
